Last night this beaver visited the main scent mound by The Prairie Lily. It walked around shore and nibbled on a couple of small plants before hitting the mound and heading upstream. I also saw ChewBarka last night, but he was acting very strange. He was clearly agitated, as he swam quickly up and down the river, slapping his tail occasionally. I don’t think I have ever seen Chewy slap his tail, but he did it about 6 times before bolting across the river. Something really had him worked up. Perh

Here is a recent video of a busy beaver swimming near The Prairie Lily dock, then walking upright to just below where I was standing. It made a small scent mound to mark its territory. I got a little clumsy with the camera near the end of the video, but as you’ll see, The Prairie Lily was returning from an evening cruise just as the beaver was finishing its business.
