Vehicle Fire Causes Vegetation Fire This afternoon, San Bernardino County Fire Crews responded to a vehicle fire on the shoulder of the 15 freeway in the Cajon Pass. Upon arrival the first due engine company found a vehicle engulfed in flames and nearby brush catching fire as well. Every other year, all emergency vehicle drivers must complete an EVIP (Emergency Vehicle Incident Prevention) rodeo course to make sure we’re operating safely on our roads. Drivers are evaluated on effectively navigating around objects, making tight turns and other skills (like “diminishing clearance,” where the lane keeps getting tighter).
