Happy International Nurses Day to all our amazing nurses who dedicate their lives to looking after others. In glorious sunshine, the new Rock Wing of the Mater Hospital was officially opened earlier today. This world class facility contains 98 beds, including 16 Intensive Care beds, which are located in single rooms to prevent the spread of disease. The wing, which will cater for 5,000 additional patients every year, will also be home to the new National Isolation Unit. Named in memory of Sr Margherita Rock, a driving force in the development of patient care in the Mater Hospital, the project was des
