Before packing up last Monday to head for home, we decided to do one of our favorite Missouri hikes — the Cave Spring Trail off Devil’s Well Road near Akers. It’s about 20 minutes from Echo Bluff State Park. The loop itself is about 4 miles. Add the spur down to Cave Spring and back — roughly 0.7 miles each way — and you’re looking at about 5.4 miles total.
