Check out this video of Wyangala Dam overflowing, as shot on Monday this week by one of our Bathurst Fisheries Officers. On Tuesday last week WaterNSW began airspace releases from the the dam to capture any future significant inflows caused by more rain in the dam’s saturated catchment. On Monday releases peaked at 50,000 megalitres per 24 hour period and created a rare viewing spectacle of huge volumes of water coursing down the rocky spillway into the Lachlan River.
