Autumn on the Grand River. Before it flows out into Lake Michigan at Grand Haven, the Grand River flows through Lansing and downtown Grand Ledge just before it makes its way over the dam in Fitzgerald Park on its way to Grand Rapids. The banks are home to many large trees that light up in Autumn. The walk along the river in Fitzgerald Park remind me of hiking trails only found in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. No matter how many times I visit Grand Ledge, I’m always amazed. This is easily one of my favorite day trip destinations within mid Michigan. 🌷And spring is a fantastic time to visit as it’s not a busy time.
