Over the weekend, the FDNY responded to six multiple-alarm fires. Three people were killed. ALL of those fires were caused by various electrical issues. The FDNY encourages New Yorkers to follow these electrical safety measures: -Do not overload outlets. -Avoid using extension cords for permanent wiring. -Look for warning signs. -Keep cords away from rugs and furniture. -Make sure you have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
