The Detroit Tigers are playing against the Atlanta Braves in their Spring Breakout game on March 16 at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida.

The Tigers will look for their second consecutive Spring Breakout win when they send many of their top prospects -- including five of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 \-\- to North Port, Fla. to face the Braves.

The Detroit Tigers get set for another Spring Training game, as they get a chance to play under the lights on Friday when they host the Baltimore Orioles. The Tigers will be coming into this game after a rare day off. Their last game saw them take on the Philadelphia Phillies in Lakeland for the third time already this season.

The Detroit Tigers reassigned four players to minor league camp Wednesday in the first cuts of spring training, with 22 days until Opening Day.

This will already be the third time during Spring Training the Tigers have hosted the Phillies at Lakeland this season. Detroit’s first game in Grapefruit League action saw them beat Philadelphia 7-6 on Feb. 22. Then, this past Saturday, the Tigers came away with a 1-0 win over the Phillies.

Major League Baseball’s spring prospect showcase was a pretty big hit when in debuted last spring. The 2025 edition of the Spring Breakout series figures to be even better, particularly where the Detroit Tigers are concerned.

The Detroit Tigers have a realistic path to winning the American League Central in 2025. To do that, they will need more out of their offense, which ranked a well below average 20th in runs scored per contest last year.
