A teenage boy was arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend Friday night in Ewa Beach, leaving her with a gunshot wound.

Winston-Salem police arrested a 16-year-old in connection to the shooting in the parking lot of Truist Park on the 4th of July. The department's Patrol Division arrested the suspect overnight. In the investigation, officers seized a handgun, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Fox 2 in Detroit identified the teen as Daviyon Shelmonson-Bey and the child as Samir Grubbs. Both were killed after an altercation escalated into a drive-by shooting at Skinner Playfield near Denby High School on June 27.
