Yahoo Sports NFL analyst Nate Tice and NFL writer Charles McDonald discuss why the Ole Miss quarterback - who was placed third overall in a recent mock draft - should not hear his name called on the opening night of the NFL draft.

Jaxson Dart was widely viewed as a Day 2 pick early in the process, but after the Senior Bowl and combine, he could hear his name called much earlier.

ESPN’s Field Yates was singing his praises during a recent edition of ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” when he explained why Dart would sneak his way into the first round, which is expected to include quarterbacks Cam Ward (Miami) and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado).

There is no real consensus about where the Utah native will land in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he has been projected anywhere as high as No. 3 overall and as low as the third round. In reality, he should land somewhere in the middle as most have him graded as a late-first, early second-round prospect.
