Tampa Bays Rays young slugger Junior Caminero is the latest to confirm his participation in the upcoming 2025 Home Run Derby. MLB announced the news on Wednesday, which means just two spots remain in the eight-player Derby field.
The Home Run Derby will air on ESPN at 8pm ET on Monday, July 14th.

Athletics slugger Brent Rooker became the latest entrant in the forthcoming Home Run Derby on Thursday. Just one spot remains vacant in the eight-player field. Rooker, 30, has hit .270/.346/.489 (130 OPS+) with 19 home runs in his first 94 games this season.
Like teammates Jonathan Aranda, Yandy Diaz, Brandon Lowe, Ryan Pepiot and Drew Rasmussen, Caminero is hoping to either be elected in the players vote or appointed to the team by Major League Baseball officials filling out the 32-man rosters. Players also can be added as substitutes for injured All-Stars right up to the July 15 game in Atlanta.
Athletics designated hitter Brent Rooker has accepted an invitation to compete in the 2025 Home Run Derby presented by T-Mobile. Rooker is batting .270 (99-for-366) with 56 runs scored, 19 doubles, 19 home runs and 50 RBI in 94 games this season.
