Iga Swiatek was caught stealing Wimbledon towels after her first-round win and the Pole has now declared she will have to be more careful when pinching souvenirs

It’s Iga Świątek, the five-time Grand Slam champion who spent 125 weeks as the world No. 1 between early 2022 and late 2024. She’s the No. 8 seed at Wimbledon, but she’s actually the world No. 4. Only three of the top seven players in the world are left in the draw.

Iga Swiatek may not love the grass, but she relishes a battle whatever the surface and showed all that fight and bullish determination as she recovered to beat American Caty McNally 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 and reach the Wimbledon third round on Thursday.
