Trump’s administration is offering an apparent buyout to some federal employees after mandating they return to the office.

The largest union for government employees sued the Trump administration to block an executive order that strips federal workers of job protections.

President Donald Trump’s executive order putting an end to remote work for federal workers is poised to change the job setup of more than a million employees. Half of the federal workforce had been allowed to work remotely as a part of a larger culture shift that occurred during the pandemic.

The order attempts to end federal funding or support for gender-transition care for people under the age of 19. It is set to face legal challenges.

Hospitals in Colorado, Virginia and the nation’s capital have paused gender-affirming care for young people as they evaluate the president's executive order aimed at cutting federal support for such care.
