“ Barbara ” & “ Cosme ” have formed over the East Pacific off the SW Mexico coast. No significant impacts to any land areas though there will be rough seas & surf along the west coast of Mexico with a high rip current risk along with some of the very outer rain bands from Barbara producing heavy rain right along the coast.

Hurricane Barbara becomes first hurricane of East Pacific season as NHC also keeps watch on Tropical Storm Cosme. A third system is forecast to become a tropical depression later this week or over the weekend.
