Federal charges have been filed against a 34-year-old-woman accused of stealing a U.S. Marshal's vehicle, which contained a rifle in the trunk.

Two deputy US Marshals shot a suspected carjacker who pulled a gun out on them as they were guarding Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's home in Washington DC, officials said.
