Israel’s air and ground war has destroyed vast areas of Gaza and driven some 90% of the population from their homes. Aid groups say they have struggled to bring in food and other assistance because of Israeli military restrictions and the breakdown of law and order, and experts have warned of famine.

The Israeli army said yesterday its warplanes attacked Gaza more than 100 times in the past 24 hours, claiming “terrorist organisations” are the targets, Al Jazeera reports.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio denounced Francesca Albanese, a special rapporteur, for calling for international investigations of Americans and Israelis over the war in the enclave.
