Officers were initially dispatched to the 6500 block of Routt Street regarding a call about a shooting. Police ended up in the backyard of a residence in the 3000 block of Forest Ave. and found the man suffering from “gunshot wounds to his upper body/torso,” a news release from the department said.

Officers found the two suffering gunshots in a vehicle near the intersection of 69th Street and College Avenue.
