EU politicians are expected to join an LGBTQ march in Budapest, despite a police ban and warning from PM Viktor Orban.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban changed the constitution earlier this year to ban the country’s Pride parade, in what critics say was an attempt to ramp up his culture war and reverse his fading political fortunes.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday there would be "legal consequences" for organising or attending a Budapest Pride march in violation of a police ban on the event planned for this weekend.
