MOUNT AIRY, Md. (WJZ) – A family in Maryland is mourning the loss of a teen who died after becoming trapped in a storm drain. Bonnie Errico said her grandson, Mason Kearns, is being remembered for his bright personality, his smile and his love of playing outside.

A child died after getting swept away and multiple people, including children, were rescued from floodwaters Thursday as storms lashed the D.C. area.
