WPBF 25 First Warning meteorologists are tracking Erin, which became a Category 4 hurricane Saturday morning in the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean.

Erin is the first hurricane to develop over the Atlantic this year, and meteorologists are closely tracking its path and forecast.

Heavy rains were forecast to start late Friday in Antigua and Barbuda, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and southern and eastern Puerto Rico.
