This soap star has been confirmed as the latest celebrity to be joining the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up.

Gladiators favourite Harry Aikines-Aryeetey has become the first star announced for this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing. Harry – known to fans of the BBC competition show as his alter-ego “Nitro” – confirmed the news as part of a prank on CBBC’s Newsround on Monday morning.

The first name for SCD this year was announced with a prank-filled reveal… He’s conquered the track, smashed it in Gladiators — and now Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is swapping Lycra for sequins as the first celebrity confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
