Starting with a high number is the oldest trick in the book when it comes to negotiating, and $15M is definitely a high number. If the Bills and Cook can agree to an extension, that cap number will most likely land somewhere in between the $5.6M he’s due in 2025 and the $15M that he’s asking for. What that number will be remains to be seen.

Cook is highly valued by head coach Sean McDermott and offensive coordinator Joe Brady. He was the Bills' only 1,000 yard player from scrimmage (and the team's only 830 yard player, for that matter). He has shown to be an incredible talent in the NFL, showcased by his two Pro Bowl appearances.
