Good news for Mille Lacs anglers - the two fish limit will be extended into the open water season with an expanded slot size.

Participants, dressed in all sorts of costumes, tested their skills as they picked up speed and tried to cross a pool of frigid water.

Anglers on Mille Lacs Lake will have the opportunity to harvest two walleye daily during the upcoming open water season, which begins May 10 and continues through Nov. 30.
