The Los Angeles Kings snapped their brief two-game losing streak on Thursday, thanks to a strong first period where they jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the game was 10 minutes old.

Turcotte put the Kings ahead 1-0 on the first shot of the game 51 seconds into the first period, beating defenseman Filip Hronek to the net on a 2-on-1 to redirect Kempe’s centering pass over the right pad of a sliding Demko.

Trevor Moore was injured against the New Jersey Devils during the Los Angeles Kings' second seven-game road trip of the year. Before the injury, Moore was seeing regular action on the Kings top forward line.

Throughout the five-game road trip, the Los Angeles Kings have had trouble putting the puck in the net, despite the fast starts and chances generated.

Alex Turcotte also scored and Darcy Kuemper made 18 saves to help Los Angeles win its fifth straight game. The Kings played for the first time since beating Tampa Bay at home last Saturday night.
