It's not a huge surprise that, after spending the past two seasons as the No. 3 option for a Cowboys bunch that had Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush firmly entrenched ahead of him, Trey Lance now will be on the move.
Why he might stay: Simply put, you know what you’re getting in Rush. He’s an established veteran backup. He knows the Cowboys' offense, including that of their OC-turned-head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Plus, Rush has built up a long-term rapport with Prescott.
