Over 20,000 North Texans woke up without power Monday morning as strong storms moved through the Metroplex. Oncor, which provides power to the bulk of North Texas and the state, reported about 2,000 customers still without power at around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Tuesday morning skies will be clear, temperatures dipping into the mid-70s, and winds will be light. There will be just enough moisture in the atmosphere that may cause some fog during the morning commute. Be sure to use low-beam headlights if needed.

The typical dry and hot August forecast is back this next week. A ridge of high pressure will build over the next several days, allowing temperatures to once again reach near the triple digits.
