A large collection of personal items belonging to legendary Canadian musician Gordon Lightfoot, like awards, instruments and rare photographs, were auctioned off today by A.H. Wilkens in Toronto.
The Denver Nuggets will be without one of their best players for at least a month. Forward Aaron Gordon is reportedly dealing with a hamstring strain, and will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
The 30-year-old Gordon has been an integral piece for the Nuggets since being acquired in a trade with Orlando in March 2021. Gordon has formed quite a connection with Nikola Jokic, a perennial triple-double threat, and guard Jamal Murray. The trio helped Denver to its first NBA title in 2023.
The stage had been set for a record-breaking sale long before the bids started flowing. RM has been hyping up the sale for weeks, and spared no expense making it the star of the American Foundation for AIDS Research gala where the auction transpired. (The car was even flown in beneath a helicopter, which made for a rather impressive display.)
Prior to the auction, the supercar which is chassis #1 of a limited run of just five cars, was airlifted by helicopter to the Wynn Las Vegas venue.
The Denver Nuggets’ starting power forward and glue guy, Aaron Gordon, is out with a Grade 2 strained right hamstring and will be re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks, a story broken by ESPN’s Shams Charania and confirmed by the Nuggets.
