LINVIILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A bald eagle from Grandfather Mountain State Park died at 11 years old on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The park said Ajax passed after complications from an infection.

Ajax was often seen flying between perches in his habitat, swimming in the pond and sharing perches with Griffin, another bald eagle.
