Eight years after 43 people were killed, judges rule in the first trial over the Genoa bridge collapse.

Judges in Genoa on Thursday are expected to deliver their verdict in a trial over the collapse of a motorway bridge in the Italian port city in 2018 which killed ​43 people.

Thirty-two people were convicted in all, with the other sentences spanning up to 11 years, while 25 people were either acquitted or cleared because of the statute of limitations.
