Stars right wing Mikko Rantenen, acquired from the Hurricanes, says it will be weird to return to Avalanche as a visitor.

The Stars, meanwhile, will debut their own newest player: Mikko Rantanen. He'll make his Stars debut against a team that nearly acquired him on Friday, the fourth time he'll face the Oilers this season on his third different team.

Newly acquired Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen said Wednesday he's pleased with where he landed while denying his former coach's claim that he gave Carolina a list of teams he preferred in a trade,

After Mikko Rantanen was traded from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Dallas Stars shortly after he got there, Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour said that the forward had a four-team list that he would extend with,

"I saw some things were said that I had a list of teams ready when I went [to Carolina], but that's false," Rantanen said Wednesday. "Obviously, it was a big shock to leave Colorado, but I went [to Carolina] with an open mind and tried my best on the ice.
