Kevin Durant became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 30,000 career points on Tuesday despite the Phoenix Suns’ 119-112 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The next player Durant can pass on the all-time scoring list is Wilt Chamberlain, who has 31,419 points. After that, he would only need need 141 more points to surpass Dirk Nowitzki (31,560 career points) for the sixth-most points all time.

Kevin Durant is the newest member of the NBA's 30,000-point club.  With a free throw against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, the Phoenix Suns forward upped his career scoring tally to a realm precious few have reached.
