HERMANTOWN — A multi-family housing unit reportedly exploded on Saturday evening in Hermantown. According to Joe Wicklund of the city of Hermantown, first responders were dispatched at 6:21 p.m. at the report of an explosion and structure fire in a multi-family residential building on Jennifer Circle.
Multiple fire departments responded around 5:05 p.m. Thursday to the explosion at a home in the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive North and battled an ensuing fire, according to Oswego fire and police officials.
Federal investigators determined that whatever caused the explosion did not go through the U.S. mail system.
