After 89 unforced errors, including 14 double-faults, the sixth-seeded American was gone from Flushing Meadows with a loss to 82nd-ranked Renata Zarazua.

World No. 6 Madison Keys was eliminated in the first round of the 2025 U.S. Open by unranked Renata Zarazúa in a three-set thriller at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
