South Korea’s Constitutional Court will hear final arguments in President Yoon Suk-yeol’s impeachment trial on Feb. 25, concluding the 10th hearing. Once the hearings end, the court’s eight justices will deliberate on whether to uphold or dismiss the impeachment.

SEOUL — Ousted South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol became the country's first sitting head of state to stand trial in a criminal case as hearings opened on Thursday regarding his bid to impose martial law.

South Korea’s impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol appeared in a Seoul court on Thursday for his first trial hearing on charges of insurrection in the country’s first criminal prosecution of an incumbent leader.
