UNC quarterback Max Johnson thought he might lose his leg after a gruesome injury last season. Now, he's back competing for the starting job.

Johnson is fully cleared to participate in fall camp, and he said he feels completely healthy just under a year removed from the awful night in Minnesota. He worked out with his teammates throughout the summer conditioning program and will not have any limitations in the ramp-up to the season.

North Carolina held its first practice of fall camp and the media was able to come and observe. It was also my first time getting to cover the Tar Heels since I
