Brooks Lee had a go-ahead two-run double with two outs in the eighth inning to propel the Minnesota Twins to a 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, completing a three-game sweep with their fifth straight victory.

Lee, batting with the score tied and two out in the eighth inning, laced an elevated fastball against Orioles lefthander Gregory Soto into left-center field for a two-run double. The Twins dugout erupted with cheers, and Lee let out a long yell as he stood on second base.

The Twins came into Thursday’s series finale against the Orioles riding a four-game winning streak and seeking their second sweep of the year — and thanks to some timely hitting and clutch bullpen work, they got just that.
