Matt Vierling will lead for the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night in Philadelphia. The Tigers (65-47) and Phillies (62-48) have split the first two games of the series and will play the rubber match in a nationally televised game at 7:10 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park.

The 41 year-old twirled a gem in his first start with Detroit. Charlie Morton, who the Tigers acquired at the trade deadline, was fantastic in his debut, shutting down the Philadelphia Phillies over six strong innings.

After the Tigers got Charlie Morton from the Orioles, the team is geared up for a playoff push with veteran leadership.
