If you missed it, the WNBA’s Seattle Storm unveiled a statue of their recently retired point guard Sue Bird on Sunday. Bird has many admirers and one of them is former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, who raved about Bird to Seattle sports radio host John Curley. Check out what he said about Bird:

In a ceremony before the Seattle Storm hosted the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, legendary former guard Sue Bird became the first WNBA player honored by her franchise with a statue outside of Climate Pledge Arena.

Longtime Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird, who already had her jersey retired and a street in Seattle named after her, had a statue erected in her honor outside Climage Pledge Arena on Sunday morning.
