About two inches of snow were reported across much of Middle Tennessee Wednesday morning. Here is how much snow Nashville and surrounding areas received.

A powerful winter storm slammed communities from the Plains and Midwest through the Tennessee Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A winter storm that began Monday evening had brought 4 inches of snowfall to Topeka by 6 p.m. Tuesday, with no more snow expected. A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Springfield said visibility may be low and hazardous travel is expected with Tuesday's storm.
