A Philadelphia high school student was gunned down Tuesday morning while leaving for school with his mother, sources tell FOX 29 News.

The boy was getting into a car to go to school at Samuel Fels High School with his mom Tuesday morning when he was shot, School District of Philadelphia spokesperson Monique Braxton said.
