Red Bull will bring their experience and expertise to boost rugby as a whole, according to the Gallagher Prem's chief executive.

Red Bull has expanded its sports empire by taking full ownership of Newcastle Falcons, an English rugby union team competing in the top flight. The acquisition, announced Tuesday, includes an immediate rebranding of the club to “Newcastle Red Bulls” before the upcoming season begins next month.

Red Bull’s takeover of Newcastle has been confirmed three months after whispers about a possible deal first emerged in May.
