MINNEAPOLIS — With the Red Sox just three outs away from a potential 4-3 win over the Minnesota Twins, the threat of heavy rain and the potential for lightning forced a delay in the game in the middle of the ninth.

Multiple inches of rain fell in over an hour at Detroit Metro Airport Monday afternoon, causing over 450 total delays, over 70 cancellations, and impacting the airport's roads.
