ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) -On June 14th, people across the United States took to the streets to peacefully protest in a movement called ‘No King Day’. Both Midland and Odessa held peaceful protests in the area.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Dodgers utilityman Kiké Hernández took to Instagram on Saturday to express his support for immigrants and decry the recent militarized raids in the city by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

No Kings has identified on its website more than 1,800 cities nationwide, including about 70 in Michigan, where demonstrators are set to gather to express disapproval.

Opponents of President Donald Trump's administration on Saturday rallied in nearly 2,000 locations across the country, with thousands demonstrating in Northern California.

Thousands gathered in Daley Plaza and in suburban events in protests timed to coincide with a military parade in Washington celebrating the Army's 250th anniversary and President Donald Trump's 79th birthday.

The No Kings events come after days of protests following raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles, and Trump’s subsequent deployment of thousands of National Guard and U.S. Marines troops to “temporarily protect” ICE and other federal personnel, along with federal property.

Hundreds of Mississippians cheered in unison, saying they are against President Donald trump and his administration. "Trump is in every way like he wants to be a king, he doesn’t want elections to happen," said Valentine. "There should be no king an in free country," said 13-year-old Maryjane Hixson.
