REAL ID or other eligible identification is required to board domestic flights at PHL airport, or travelers risk added wait times at TSA checkpoints.

Real ID is a new government-approved identity document, with new security standards for driver's licenses and state identification cards. It officially goes into effect May 7. Travelers' identification cards will have to meet new, beefed-up standards in order to be used for federal purposes, including passing through airport security checkpoints.
