Fire crews from Ventura and Los Angeles counties are battling a rapidly growing vegetation fire in Holser Canyon, near Lake Piru, in 100-degree heat. The blaze, called the Canyon Fire, is estimated to be at 600 acres.

The Canyon fire has grown to roughly 1,051 burned acres near Val Verde, straddling Los Angeles and Ventura counties, according to Watch Duty. Officials also issued less-severe evacuation warnings for parts of the area.

Multiple locations are under evacuation orders near Piru in Ventura County due to a fast-moving brush fire that has scorched more than 1,00 acres.
