India signals plan to keep avoiding US-sanctioned tankers
Officials told Reuters it was not worth the risk to India to deal with sanctioned ships because of the ability of the US to impose further measures against domestic business. The exposure of Indian banks to the US economy leaves them at risk of further action by US regulators if they are linked to US-sanctioned cargoes.
