President Donald Trump's administration agreed on Friday not to publicly name FBI employees involved in investigations into the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as the president said some would be fired.

Suing FBI agents raised concerns that Trump Justice Dept. Jan. 6 probe could put law enforcement officers at risk if Musk or others outsiders get their names.

A group of anonymous FBI agents sued the Justice Department to prevent the public release of names of bureau personnel who worked on Jan. 6 cases.

The Justice Department also requested a list of agents involved in a U.S. criminal case against leaders of the Hamas militant group.
