Over a week after destructive wildfires erupted in the Los Angeles area, fire crews have made progress with containment and stopped the growth of the Eaton and Palisades fires.

The Eaton fire, burning in Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre, was 55% contained as of 6:30 a.m., according to Cal Fire. The Palisades fire, burning in Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Topanga and Mandeville Canyons, inched upward to 22% containment.

People impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires can now search damage assessment maps for their home or other address. These maps are preliminary and will be updated daily as more areas are inspected,
