As Colorado drops into a deep freeze, Denver Rescue Mission is among the shelters that will be increasing capacity to protect residents.

A lot is happening in the Denver weather forecast as snow, blustery winds, and arctic air settle in to the region for the next several days.

After a mild Thursday, an arctic blast of extreme cold will arrive in parts of Colorado on Friday afternoon. According to Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Alden German, snow chances could start to affect the Friday evening commute and the below-freezing temperatures are expected to last for several days in a row.
