AUSTIN, Texas — Two girls from Austin are among those confirmed dead after devastating flash floods hit Camp Mystic in Kerr County on July 4. Linnie McCown, 8, was a student at Casis Elementary, according to her father, Michael McCown.

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said in a press conference Sunday morning that, as of 9 a.m., 59 people have died in the catastrophic flooding stemming from a storm early Friday morning in Kerrville, Texas. Of the 59 victims, 38 are adults including 18 unidentified, and 21 are children including four unidentified.
